Light and Legacy Cancer Awareness Fundraiser
Each Livestrong cohort includes six survivors and costs over $3,000 to run. Thanks to grants, gifts, and donations, we’re able to offer this life-changing program at no cost to participants — and with your help, we can keep it that way. Being able to serve this community reminds us daily of the power of compassion, connection, and shared strength.
On July 10th, we’ll host a “Light and Legacy” Walk, featuring a walk through luminaries to celebrate the strength of our survivors and remember the legacy of those who have passed.
We are offering the opportunity to see your loved one’s “name in light” by purchasing a Gift of Light luminary or a Sign of Strength.
Additionally we are selling raffle tickets for prizes gifted from the local community.
Gifts of Light Luminaries
See your loved one’s ‘name in light’ when you purchase a luminary for the Light of Legacy walk. A luminary memorializes your loved one while inspiring others through their own journeys. Your luminary will light a path for survivors and family who have experienced the difficult path cancer has brought into their lives.
Pathway Tickets for Raffle
Purchase Pathway tickets for a raffle to win community donated prizes at our Light and Legacy walk on July 10th. Each ticket provides an opportunity for prizes while also supporting our Livestrong program at the YMCA. Your tickets will be available at the Thomas E. Hannah YMCA front desk before the event.

Signs of Strength
Purchase a yard sign as a Sign of Strength in memory of your loved one or honoring the strength of survivors. All signs will be placed along the Light and Legacy walk for all to see.
