Flag Football Clinic
Flag Football Clinic Details:

6 weeks of targeted skills practice sessions. Each week will have one day of skills and one day of scrimmage play (if there are enough players) and skill work. More details are listed below.

Players will receive a t-shirt.

Active practice for 2 hours per week with volunteer coaches.
Weekly Skill Development:
-
Week 1: Running, Throwing, Catching, and Basic Rules of the Game (this will include proper throwing mechanics, proper catching techniques, and how to hold and secure the ball while running).

Week 2: Basic Offense – Route Running, Hand offs, Positions, etc. (this will include teaching offensive penalties)

Week 3: Basic Defense – Flag pulling, covering receivers, defending the run, defensive positions etc. (this will include teaching defensive penalties)

Week 4: Strategic Game Play (putting plays together and running plays as a team)

Week 5: Putting It All Together (refresher of all skills taught up until this point and putting them to use in a game)

Week 6: Coaches Pick (coaches can pick the skills to work on this week, whether it be continued work on a previously taught skill or teaching them a new skill not outlined in this curriculum).
